## What it does

KitWright Unity MCP connects an AI client to a live Unity Editor through MCP. Its built-in tools can run code, build scenes, generate scripts, configure UI, switch Play Mode, simulate input, capture screenshots, and inspect performance. The package includes 274 tools.

Start the server from `Window > KitWright > MCP Window`, then use its one-click client setup for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, or Zed. Unity 2022.3 or later is required, and the server runs in the editor only. With an Asset Store install, skipping `com.unity.nuget.newtonsoft-json` leaves KitWright scripts unable to compile.

## Example prompts
- Build a snake scene with a 10x10 grid, food, score display, and a game-over screen.
- Search the project prefabs and assemble a city scene from them.
- Run the game, test its controls, and capture screenshots of the main states.
