# JAIPilot

JAIPilot gives a coding agent workflows for generating and repairing Java tests, checking changes, and recording behavior before a refactor. Use it when you want a dedicated testing flow in your agent.

## What it does

JAIPilot connects an agent to workflows for Java testing. It can create unit tests, raise coverage, repair failing tests, check current changes, and help steady flaky tests. A separate workflow records existing behavior before production code changes.

The service checks the existing test baseline before edits, then runs focused checks and the regression suite. Coverage reports depend on configured coverage tools, and the 90% target applies to selected code. That distinction matters: the target does not mean the entire project will reach that level.

You need Git, a JDK, and the project's build tools. Sign in to a JAIPilot account to use the service; its subscription and credits apply. Review the proposed changes and `git diff` before accepting them.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http jaipilot https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add jaipilot --url https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "jaipilot": {
            "url": "https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
    "servers": {
        "jaipilot": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http jaipilot https://api.jaipilot.com/functions/v1/jaipilot/mcp
```

## When to use it
- generate unit tests for a selected Java class
- raise coverage for selected code
- repair failing tests
- record behavior before a refactor
- run tests against current changes

## Example prompts
- Generate unit tests for `com.acme.OrderService`.
- Run tests for all current changes in this project.
- Record the behavior in `src/main/java/com/acme` before I refactor it.
