# isir

Search the Czech ISIR register for active insolvency cases involving companies or individuals. Use it to check a company by IČO or look up a person by name.

## What it does

The server queries the Czech ISIR register. `check_ico_insolvency` looks for active proceedings tied to a company’s IČO, while `search_person_insolvency` searches by name. Adding a date of birth helps distinguish people with common names. Set `only_active` to `false` to include closed or dismissed cases.

\`poll_isir_events` reads the event feed for monitoring or index backfill. It is meant for the feed, not for a one-off lookup about a person or company. The SOAP integration is in alpha, so some queries may return empty responses; local use requires `ISIR_SOAP_ENABLED=1`.

An empty response is not proof that no case exists: the service may be unavailable or unconfigured. For identity-critical searches involving a common name, include a birth date or verify the match manually.
