## What it does

IronWallet connects coding agents to crypto operations on networks like Ethereum and Solana. The assistant can fetch balances and broadcast transfers. Private keystores remain encrypted on your host machine, meaning mnemonic seeds never enter the model context or external logs.

Sensitive actions like imports and backups happen in a loopback browser session on `127.0.0.1`. The server does not provide an interactive confirmation prompt per transaction in chat. Run it as a hot wallet with limited funds, or enforce protection using `maxPerTxUsd` and the `IW_READ_ONLY` setting. Node.js 20+ is required.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `IW_READ_ONLY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- query native coin and token balances across networks
- sign and broadcast transfers locally
- execute token swaps using fresh quotes
- restrict agent spending with per-transaction USD limits

## Example prompts
- Check my wallet balance on Base
- Estimate the network fee for sending 0.1 ETH
- Show available swap routes from USDC to SOL
