## What it does

inkvault copies supported Claude Code and Codex sessions, along with history from browser profiles you approve. It can also preserve Pieces records, while optional Windows capture adds app activity and text from selected apps. The archive lives in a local SQLite file named `vault.db`, and Memory Atlas lets you inspect results in context.

The MCP service exposes `search_memories`, `timeline`, `get_memory`, and `memory_stats`. An agent can query past work by meaning or keyword, inspect activity across a period, and retrieve a stored item. Setup runs through `uvx`, so `uv` must be installed before the connection command will work. Daily summaries use a local Ollama model, and screen capture is available on Windows as an optional feature.
