## What it does

With mcp-server, an agent can browse iLoveVideoEditor templates, inspect their variables, then submit either VideoJSON or a template populated with values. It can also check a render job and retrieve an MP4 download link. The service description lists more than 249 templates.

The server communicates over MCP using stdio. For Claude Code, the setup runs `npx -y @ilovevideoeditor/mcp-server`; `VF_API_KEY` must contain an iLoveVideoEditor API key. Set `VF_API_BASE_URL` to use a different API base address. Without the key, the service cannot process render requests.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `VF_API_KEY`, `VF_API_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
