## What it does

This server connects coding assistants to the Hub-Equity public REST API, pulling normalized accounting metrics from US SEC EDGAR and European ESEF filings. It aligns disparate taxonomy concepts into unified codes like `REVENUE` or `TOTAL_ASSETS`. Every returned data point includes direct filing metadata and reporting period details.

The server offers read-only tools including `find_entity` to look up identifiers, `get_fact` for individual data points, `get_metric_history` for growth rates, and `get_silent_restatements` to catch restated figures across subsequent filings. Free API keys grant entry-level tools, while peer comparisons and calculation breakdowns require a paid tier.

The process requires Python 3.12 or newer. Calls fail immediately unless `HUBEQUITY_API_KEY` is exported in the client configuration.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Environment variables: `HUBEQUITY_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
