## What it does

Horosa Skill exposes 110 astrology and metaphysics techniques to AI clients through MCP and a JSON-first CLI. Calculations run on the local machine and work without network access. The available methods include Western astrology, progressions, horary work, date selection, and other techniques; responses use a shared envelope with a technique evidence card.

Calls are stored in SQLite and JSON artifacts, while `horosa_technique_report` creates a method report. A structured clarification gate asks for details such as time, place, timezone, and other parameters before a calculation. `horosa_hecan` can combine several techniques and keeps agreements separate from disagreements. You need `uv`, Python ≥ 3.12, and about 5 GB of disk space. The offline runtime ships for macOS (arm64) and Windows (x64); on Linux, the container runs the MCP gateway and needs the runtime on a host or another machine.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `HOROSA_RUNTIME_ROOT`, `HOROSA_SKILL_DATA_DIR`, `HOROSA_JEV`, `HOROSA_JEV_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- run an astrology calculation locally
- compare results from several techniques
- search previous calls and saved records
- export a report as DOCX, PDF, or JSON
- check chart parameters before calculating

## Example prompts
- Run a local Western natal chart calculation and ask me for any parameters that need confirmation.
- Use `horosa_hecan` to compare several techniques, separating agreements from disagreements.
- Create a method report for the latest calculation with `horosa_technique_report` and save it as JSON.
