## What it does

This server connects coding assistants to the HireLayer hiring platform. It extracts work history, contacts, education, and language proficiencies from resumes in PDF, Word, or image formats. Built-in OCR processes scanned documents. The tool also maps French and English technical skills to standardized taxonomy identifiers.

Job listings turn into weighted evaluation criteria with clear flags for mandatory items. The engine scores each applicant against the job on a scale from 0 to 1, providing explanations for individual criteria. It can sort up to 10 candidates in a single batch.

The hosted endpoint at `https://hirelayer.co/mcp` works with web attachments, text, or HTTPS links. Parsing files directly from a local hard drive requires the local `npx` setup with `HIRELAYER_API_KEY`. Accounts include 50 credits each month without a payment card.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://hirelayer.co/mcp`
- Environment variables: `HIRELAYER_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
