## What it does

This integration links development assistants to live remote job market data through a Streamable HTTP connection at `https://mcp.himalayas.app/mcp`. The service exposes 79 tools. 13 of those tools operate publicly without an account, letting users query job openings, inspect market compensation ranges in USD and view company profiles.

The remaining tools require signing in: 46 serve applicants managing their job search, while 20 cater to employers posting roles and reviewing talent. Himalayas accounts use browser-based OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, eliminating the need to store static API secrets in configuration files. If your editor has built-in remote HTTP transport, Node.js is not required.

Legacy SSE routing under `/sse` has been turned off with a `410 Gone` status code. Environments limited strictly to local stdio communication will need to bridge the connection using the `mcp-remote` utility.
