# Heard Friends

Connects your assistant to your monthly agent work hours, friends leaderboard, and invite sharing without running a local process.

## What it does

This is a hosted MCP server reachable at `https://api.heard.dev/v1/mcp/share`, removing any need to compile or run local background processes. It accesses stats collected by the Heard macOS companion, which monitors Claude Code and Codex execution timestamps. Assistants can query this data directly to report total monthly hours.

Four tools handle the integration. The `heard_my_month` tool reports your logged hours and current rank, `heard_compare` pulls the friends leaderboard, and `heard_share_card` prepares a short snippet with your referral URL. When adding colleagues, `heard_invite_friend` sends an invitation email. It enforces a cap of five per day, shows a preview first, and waits for your confirmation before sending.

Queries will fail without a key from `heard.dev/connect`. Supply it through the `HEARD_KEY` environment variable or an `Authorization` header. Your source files and prompt transcripts never leave your machine; the remote endpoint only handles your first name, calculated hours, leaderboard spot, and invite link.
