# HasData Zillow

Two read-only tools that pull Zillow listings and full property records as structured JSON. Useful when your agent needs real estate data mid-conversation.

## What it does

This is a hosted server, so there is no container to run. Every client points at the same URL, `https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=zillow`, over streamable HTTP, with the key sent in an `x-api-key` header. It reads public Zillow pages that a signed-out visitor can see.

Two tools sit behind it. `hasdata_zillow_listing_getRealEstateListings` returns for-sale, for-rent and sold listings with address, price, Zestimate, beds and baths, square footage, home type, status, days on Zillow, coordinates and the listing agent. `hasdata_zillow_property_getPropertyDetails` takes a property URL and gives back price and tax history, the rent estimate, year built, HOA and assigned schools. Each call costs 10 credits.

You need a HasData API key from the dashboard, free to create with no card. Requests fail without the key in the header or environment. Clients that only speak stdio go through a launcher: `@hasdata/zillow-mcp` on npm or `hasdata-zillow-mcp` on PyPI. In Windsurf the field is `serverUrl`, not `url` — a config using `url` will not load there.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=zillow`
- Environment variables: `HASDATA_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- shortlist properties by filters and sort by recency
- pull price and tax history for one address
- compare rent estimates across several condos
- get schools and agent info for a property record
- hand Zillow data to an agent as JSON instead of scraping pages

## Example prompts
- Take the first result and pull the full record: price history, tax history, the value estimate and the schools.
- Look for rental condos in Austin where cats are allowed, then show the rent estimate for the three cheapest.
