# HammerTime

## What it does

HammerTime exposes the HammerTime commands through an MCP server over Streamable HTTP. The timestamp tools cover `at`, `at12`, `iso`, `unix`, `in`, `ago`, `add`, `subtract`, and `snowflake`; their inputs follow the corresponding command options. Saved account settings supply values such as the timezone and output format.

The same connection can read or update settings, report the active key, and check service health. Authentication requires a HammerTime key in `Authorization: Bearer htk_...`, created from the account profile page. Each key averages 60 requests per minute across REST and MCP, with a separate burst allowance, so clients should account for the shared limit.

## When to use it
- create a Discord timestamp from a date and timezone
- convert a date to Unix or ISO output
- calculate time before or after an event
- read and update HammerTime account settings
- check API health and the active key
