# gopeak

gopeak connects an AI assistant to Godot projects so it can run games, inspect project state, and help debug errors. It requires Godot 4.x and Node.js 18+.

## What it does

gopeak gives an assistant tools for finding Godot projects, editing scenes and scripts, inspecting resources, and running a game. The assistant can read debug output and use it to address an error. The server also integrates with LSP and DAP.

In `compact` mode, extra tool groups activate as needed; `full` exposes the complete legacy tool list for compatibility and audits. Some capabilities depend on the editor, LSP, DAP, or a runtime addon. For example, inspecting a live scene requires a runtime addon or socket, so that workflow depends on project setup.

You need Godot 4.x and Node.js 18+. Start the server with `npx -y gopeak`, then add it to your MCP client configuration.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Works with: Godot

## Install

```bash
claude mcp add gopeak -- npx -y gopeak
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add gopeak -- npx -y gopeak
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "gopeak": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "gopeak"
            ]
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

            ]
        }
    }
}
```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add gopeak npx -y gopeak
```
## When to use it
- find Godot projects and inspect project details
- create `scenes/Player.tscn` with a `CharacterBody2D` root
- run a game and retrieve debug output
- trace the top error in the log and fix it
## Example prompts
- Find Godot projects in `/your/projects` and show their project details.
- Create `scenes/Player.tscn` with a `CharacterBody2D` root and add a movement script.
- Run the project, retrieve debug output, then fix the top error.
