# GLEIF MCP Server

This MCP server queries GLEIF for LEIs, company records, ownership links, and BIC/SWIFT or ISIN matches. Use it for KYC and counterparty checks.

## What it does

GLEIF MCP Server connects an agent to GLEIF’s public API. It can find entities by name, return records by LEI, check the identifier format and registration status, and process up to 100 LEIs in one request. Local caching keeps returned data available for repeat queries.

The server also maps BIC/SWIFT and ISIN values to legal entities, then exposes parent, subsidiary, ultimate-parent, and fund relationships. No API key is required. Claude Code installation starts the server in a Docker container, so Docker must be available on the machine.
