## What it does

This server connects assistants to GitScrum workspaces through 29 tools covering over 160 operations. The model can inspect project budgets, move tickets across sprints, and draft customer invoices directly in conversation. Instead of scattering separate definitions, each tool relies on a unified `action` parameter, reducing context token overhead by around 80%.

Running the server locally via `npx` requires Node.js 18+. There is also a hosted SSE alternative running on AWS at `https://mcp.gitscrum.com/sse`. Authentication uses browser-based OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization or an explicit `GITSCRUM_TOKEN` environment variable. Without a valid GitScrum account and token, the tools will not return data.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `GITSCRUM_API_URL`, `GITSCRUM_TOKEN` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
