## What it does

Gearsystem MCP Server is built into the Gearsystem emulator. It exposes tools for execution control, memory inspection, hardware status checks, rewind, and related debugging tasks. An AI agent can inspect a running game through MCP instead of relying on source code alone.

Gearsystem is a cross-platform C++ emulator for Sega Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, and related systems. The MCP interface is intended for Claude Code, Codex, and similar environments. Use `MCP_README.md` in the project for MCPB connection steps. Linux may require `libsdl3`; Windows builds may need the Visual C++ Redistributable and OpenGL Compatibility Pack.
