## What it does

Funplay Unity MCP connects an AI assistant to an open Unity project through MCP. The assistant can build scenes, create C# scripts, arrange UI, run checks during play, simulate input, and operate editor tasks. It targets Unity 2022.3+ and runs in the Editor rather than in a built game.

Install the package in Unity through Package Manager using the Git URL, then open `Funplay > MCP Server`. Its One-Click MCP Configuration can write a client entry for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other supported clients. The server exposes a local address such as `http://127.0.0.1:<port>/`, with project-specific ports available when several editors are open.

Direct local HTTP is the default transport. Experimental Broker Mode keeps the MCP endpoint stable through Unity script recompiles and Play Mode domain reloads. The client cannot connect until `Funplay > MCP Server` is running.
