## What it does

This server bridges your client to the Noteboxd API via standard input/output, returning structured JSON for every query. It equips the assistant with tools to filter fragrances by notes or price ranges, display side-by-side product comparisons, inspect perfumer credits, and read community review digests.

The package runs locally through `npx` and stores no user data. You must provide a valid `NOTEBOXD_API_KEY`, otherwise tool calls fail to authenticate. The free developer tier allows 50 requests per day without entering card details, with extra calls billed per request. An alternate remote HTTP endpoint is also provided if you avoid running Node locally.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.noteboxd.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `NOTEBOXD_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
