## What it does

Fitatu is an unofficial MCP server for the Fitatu diary. It gives an agent tools to inspect and change food entries, meals, body weight, water, and workouts. It can also read goals, summaries, and the food catalogue. `FitatuTools` exposes 47 JSON Schema tools with operation annotations.

The server runs over stdio through `uvx fitatu-api`. You need a Fitatu account and a session supplied in `FITATU_SESSION`; login-based access can be created with `fitatu-api login`. The library requires Python 3.11 or newer, plus `tzdata` on Windows.

This is an unofficial integration built from the Fitatu apps’ API, so API changes can break it. Automated access may conflict with Fitatu’s Terms of Service; use your own account. The server also provides `podsumowanie_dnia`, `przeglad_tygodnia`, and `zaloguj_posilek`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Environment variables: `FITATU_SESSION` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add --env FITATU_SESSION=<FITATU_SESSION> --transport stdio fitatu -- uvx fitatu-api
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from fitatu-api <command>

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add fitatu --env FITATU_SESSION=<FITATU_SESSION> -- uvx fitatu-api
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from fitatu-api <command>

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "fitatu": {
            "command": "uvx",
            "args": [
                "fitatu-api"
            ],
            "env": {
                "FITATU_SESSION": "<FITATU_SESSION>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from fitatu-api <command>

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "fitatu": {
            "type": "stdio",
            "command": "uvx",
            "args": [
                "fitatu-api"
            ],
            "env": {
                "FITATU_SESSION": "<FITATU_SESSION>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from fitatu-api <command>

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add -e FITATU_SESSION=<FITATU_SESSION> fitatu uvx fitatu-api
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from fitatu-api <command>
