# Firmafakta

A remote MCP server that lets your assistant count and list Swedish companies by industry, place and size, and pull everything on a single firm.

## What it does

The server sits on top of Swedish registers — SCB, Bolagsverket, PRV. Ask for a segment and the assistant returns a count or a paged list; hand it an organisation number and it returns the full record for that company. Segments are built from industry, place and size.

Seven tools ship with it. `firmafakta_describe` explains the segment language, the fields and what each plan costs, `firmafakta_find_codes` resolves SNI codes, municipalities and counties from free text, `firmafakta_count` returns a number and reads it back in words, `firmafakta_fetch` pages through companies or workplaces, `firmafakta_lookup` gathers one company's details. The remaining two, `firmafakta_save` and `firmafakta_load`, handle saved segments.

A Firmafakta account is required, and the free plan covers a trial. Sign in with OAuth when your client prompts for it, or create an API key under My account on firmafakta.se and send it on each request as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`. Counting and fetching draw on credits, the same ones used on the website. Sole proprietorships get counted but never listed, so a “show me all of them” request will not match the number you were given.

## When to use it
- count construction firms in Halland by employee band
- export a list of accounting firms for one municipality
- narrow a segment to companies registered recently
- resolve SNI codes and municipality names from text
- pull the full record for one organisation number

## Example prompts
