# Fathom MCP Server

## What it does

The server exposes six tools that connect your assistant to Fathom recordings. It can retrieve AI-generated summaries, pull verbatim transcripts, inspect teams, and list past calls with date filters. Because the underlying Fathom API only offers read scopes, the server cannot create or modify meetings.

It functions as a pass-through proxy. Meeting transcripts and participant records stream straight to the LLM without landing in persistent storage or log files. If you host the project yourself on Node.js 18+ with PostgreSQL, only OAuth tokens are stored, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Local development on `http://localhost` will fail because Fathom OAuth requires an HTTPS redirect address.

Because Fathom lacks a native search endpoint, the `search_meetings` tool paginates through up to five pages and filters client-side. If your account holds many recordings, query `list_meetings` with strict date limits instead to avoid missed records.
