Connects coding agents to Eurostat indicators covering EU economics and trade. Helpful when querying regional NUTS slices or staging datasets for SQL analysis.

## What it does

The server connects to the Eurostat catalogue through a hosted HTTP endpoint or locally via STDIO using `npx`. Assistants receive tools to search dataset identifiers, inspect theme categories, read dimension metadata, and filter NUTS geographical boundaries from whole countries down to local zones.

For deep analysis, entire tables can be staged onto a dataframe canvas through the SDMX bulk endpoint. Once loaded, assistants run read-only SQL queries with `eurostat_dataframe_query` and inspect schemas using `eurostat_dataframe_describe`.

Running `eurostat_dataframe_drop` fails unless `EUROSTAT_DATAFRAME_DROP_ENABLED=true` is supplied beforehand. Setting `CANVAS_PROVIDER_TYPE=none` completely disables the canvas tools, restricting the model to bounded preview slices.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://eurostat.caseyjhand.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `EUROSTAT_CLAMP_LIMITS`, `MCP_LOG_LEVEL`, `EUROSTAT_BASE_URL`, `EUROSTAT_COMEXT_BASE_URL`, `EUROSTAT_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS`, `EUROSTAT_METADATA_TIMEOUT_MS`, `EUROSTAT_TOC_CACHE_TTL_MS`, `EUROSTAT_BULK_TIMEOUT_MS`, `EUROSTAT_BULK_MAX_BYTES`, `CANVAS_PROVIDER_TYPE` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
