## What it does

The server is read-only and answers questions such as which eSIM to pick for the Maasai Mara or Nairobi using live data rather than stale scraped pages. It ships three tools. `list_esim_providers` searches and filters providers by destination, badge, safari coverage, rating or price. `get_esim_provider` returns full details and plan tiers for one provider by slug. `compare_esim_providers` hands back esimkenya.com's curated verdict for a pair of providers when one exists, and otherwise puts both side by side.

Every provider response carries an `affiliate_link` in the form `https://esimkenya.com/go/{slug}`. Under the hood it is `McpServer` plus `WebStandardStreamableHTTPServerTransport` from `@modelcontextprotocol/sdk`, running stateless inside a Cloudflare Worker `fetch` handler. No Durable Object is needed because each request stands alone. Provider data is read from the Supabase project behind the main site through the public anon key, gated by RLS: no write access, no service-role key.

The live endpoint is `https://mcp.esimkenya.com/mcp`. Running it locally requires `SUPABASE_URL` and `SUPABASE_ANON_KEY` in the `[vars]` section of `wrangler.toml`; without them the server will not start. That anon key already ships in the main site's browser bundle and is gated by RLS, so committing it is safe.
