## What it does

This server hands your agent the text of the US electronic Code of Federal Regulations. Thirteen tools sit behind it, spanning FAR, DFARS and the supplements individual agencies publish. Useful when a rule lookup or a wording check has to happen mid-task.

Two ways to connect: a remote HTTP endpoint at `https://ecfr.1102tools.com/mcp`, or a local run through `uvx ecfr-mcp`. The local route needs `uvx` present — without it the command fails. Claude, Codex and Gemini CLI get ready-made add commands; Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a JSON config block.

MIT licensed, repo at `1102tools-dev/federal-contracting-mcps`. Supported clients: Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, Zed and Gemini CLI.
