## What it does

The server bridges AI assistants with EasyEDA Pro over a local WebSocket connection. It relies on an editor plugin, `easyeda-bridge-extension.eext`, imported via the built-in Extension Manager. Without this bridge running in EasyEDA Pro, the MCP server cannot interact with your project.

Inside, it provides up to 120 profile-gated tools for hardware workflows. The system inspects PCB stackups, checks netlists, and runs DRC or ERC rules. It also handles exports for board manufacturing, including Gerber archives and component placement files.

Component sourcing connects directly to supplier APIs such as JLCPCB, LCSC, Mouser, and DigiKey. The codebase uses the source-available PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 license, and development is pinned to Node.js 24.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `NODE_ENV`, `LOG_LEVEL`, `TOOL_PROFILE`, `TOOL_SCOPES`, `MCP_PROTOCOL_VERSION`, `MCP_BRIDGE_BACKEND`, `MCP_REMOTE_SESSION_ID`, `TRANSPORT`, `HTTP_HOST`, `HTTP_PORT` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add easyeda-mcp-pro -e BRIDGE_TOKEN=<BRIDGE_TOKEN> -e AI_API_KEY=<AI_API_KEY> -e JLCPCB_CLIENT_SECRET=<JLCPCB_CLIENT_SECRET> -e LCSC_API_KEY=<LCSC_API_KEY> -e MOUSER_API_KEY=<MOUSER_API_KEY> -e DIGIKEY_CLIENT_SECRET=<DIGIKEY_CLIENT_SECRET> -- npx -y easyeda-mcp-pro
```
Replace <…> with your own values. 62 more environment variables are in the server README
