## What it does

EasyBits exposes persistent Linux sandboxes built on Firecracker. An agent can use root access, internet connectivity, state retention, and a public URL, then call tools for web search, page reading, data extraction, files, SQL databases, documents, video, and hosting.

Claude Code can connect over HTTP or start the package through stdio with `npx -y @easybits.cloud/mcp`. You need an EasyBits account and an API key created in the Developer Dashboard. For the local process, pass that key through `EASYBITS_API_KEY`.

The project also offers a REST API v2 and the typed `@easybits.cloud/sdk` package. Its service includes file uploads and transformations, webhooks with HMAC signatures, and scoped API keys. The local MCP process cannot access the service without `EASYBITS_API_KEY`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://www.easybits.cloud/api/mcp`
- Environment variables: `EASYBITS_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
