## What it does

Droidline links your AI coding agent to an Android device running Android 9 or later. The tool executes interface taps and captures screenshots directly from the mobile display. No USB cable is needed. Communication stays encrypted and runs over local Wi-Fi or remote network relays.

The host machine runs `droidline serve` on `localhost:8780`. You install the companion APK on the phone, then pair devices with a QR scan or a six-digit code. If hardware is unavailable, the release includes `droidline-fakephone` for local practice.

Without the `droidline` binary on your system `PATH`, the MCP server fails immediately. The mobile client requires accessibility permissions alongside unrestricted battery usage. Android 13 devices also mandate granting access to restricted settings.
