# Dreamwork

Gives your agent job listings, resume and cover-letter tailoring, application sending and recruiter reply tracking. Public listings work without an account.

## What it does

The server is a thin gateway. It speaks stdio and forwards calls to Dreamwork's API over HTTPS; it keeps no database of its own. Only JSON-RPC frames go to stdout, so don't route the command through a shell or an env loader like `dotenvx run -- …`. A stray banner from the wrapper corrupts the stream and tool calls hang.

Start it with no key and you get guest mode: public read-only tools such as `browse_listings`, `get_listing`, `get_platform_context` and `get_upgrade_link` work, and the agent is told it is a guest. Account tools reply with a short "No API key" note listing the steps. The `DREAMWORK_API_KEY` value (format `sk_...`) comes from a free account, and your plan sets the key's rate limit and allowances. When generating it you tick the scopes it may use: read, write, apply, mail. A key can't exceed your own rights.

A hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint at `https://mcp.dreamworkhq.com/mcp` works too, with OAuth sign-in instead of a pasted key. On first run the server writes a random install ID into your OS state directory. Turn it off with `DREAMWORK_TELEMETRY=0` or `DO_NOT_TRACK=1`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.dreamworkhq.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `DREAMWORK_API_KEY`, `DREAMWORK_API_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
