## What it does

Domotz MCP exposes Domotz data to an MCP agent and keeps a local SQLite copy for fleet-wide queries. The package includes `domotz-cli` and `domotz-mcp`; its installer places both tools in the user bin path.

It can be used with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed. Domotz authentication is required. Keep the server on stdio: this build’s HTTP mode has no password and a page opened in a browser could send requests to it, so HTTP should not be run.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `DOMOTZ_API_KEY`, `DOMOTZ_BASE_URL`, `DOMOTZ_REGION` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Example prompts
- Show Domotz data for every site in the local SQLite mirror.
- Use Domotz to find devices that need attention and group the results by site.
- Check the connection, then run `domotz-cli --help`.
