## What it does

This server connects AI assistants to cloud workspaces on `trydock.ai`. It exposes eight operations via the Model Context Protocol, enabling agents to retrieve workspaces by slug, start new spaces, read the recent activity log, and handle table records through fetch, insert, partial update, or delete actions.

The integration relies on a lightweight Node.js stdio bridge published as `@trydock/mcp` in roughly 100 lines of code. It pipes incoming JSON-RPC traffic from stdin directly to `https://trydock.ai/api/mcp` over HTTPS with Bearer headers. The bridge retains zero state, leaves request bodies unlogged, and Dock hashes tokens with SHA-256 on its backend.

Every request fails with a 401 error unless you supply a valid `DOCK_API_KEY` generated in the web workspace settings. You can also redirect calls to a custom host by defining `DOCK_MCP_URL`.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://trydock.ai/api/mcp`

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http dock https://trydock.ai/api/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add dock --url https://trydock.ai/api/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "dock": {
            "url": "https://trydock.ai/api/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:

        }
    }
}
```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http dock https://trydock.ai/api/mcp
```
## When to use it
- inspect records inside table-mode workspaces
- apply partial updates to specific table entries
- generate new collaborative workspaces from editor prompts
- review the workspace event stream for recent actions
## Example prompts
- List all accessible Dock workspaces
- Fetch rows from the tasks workspace and show items due today
- Add a new row to the sprint tracker with current release notes
