# directory

A hosted MCP server holding a directory of product launch platforms: who accepts you, what rules you out, which steps a submission takes.

## What it does

The server serves typed records instead of bare links. Each platform entry covers eligibility, disqualifiers, the submission steps, how long approval takes and whether the link is dofollow. Records were walked by hand.

Three tools need no account. `search_platforms` queries the directory and filters by category, pricing, link type or approval speed. `get_platform` returns one platform in full. `qualify_project` takes a product description and sorts platforms into those you qualify for now, those within reach once something is supplied, and those out of reach. An account token unlocks `whoami`, project storage, `submission_playbook`, `plan_submissions` and submission logging.

Nothing runs locally — the endpoint is `https://submitmap.com/api/mcp` over streamable HTTP, protocol version `2025-06-18`. Account tools read `Authorization: Bearer smap_...`, and OAuth is advertised as well. Tokens come from `https://submitmap.com/app/tokens`. Submission automation stays locked until that token is in place.

codex mcp add directory --url https://submitmap.com/api/mcp
```
### Cursor
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "directory": {
            "url": "https://submitmap.com/api/mcp"
        }

## When to use it
- find platforms that accept a product today
- list what a specific platform still needs before you can submit
- work out the order to send submissions in
- log what was sent and track each submission's status
- filter directories by link type and approval speed

## Example prompts
- Check the directory for platforms my product qualifies for and what's missing elsewhere
- Pull the full record for this platform and list the submission steps
- Plan the submission run for my project and record the first one
