# DirectIQ

## What it does

The server runs on DirectIQ infrastructure at `https://mcp.directiq.com/mcp` using Streamable HTTP. No local builds are needed. It exposes tools to inspect account stats, retrieve contacts in batches up to 500 items, and organize subscriber tags.

Authentication requires a DirectIQ API key passed through the `x-api-key` header. Outgoing transactional messages will not send unless the from address is confirmed in the dashboard. Because methods like `directiq_update_contact` and `directiq_write_request` modify remote records, leaving tool confirmation prompts active is recommended.

## When to use it
- Send transactional messages from verified sender addresses
- Fetch and update contact fields directly through conversation
- Set up new recipient lists and tags on demand
- Track active and disabled subscriber counts
