## What it does

The MCP server runs the `@digital-science-dsl/dimensions-analytics-mcp` package via `npx` over stdio transport. It hooks into the Dimensions DSL so your agent can query research intelligence directly. You can inspect author profiles, evaluate funding sources, or review patent records.

Authentication relies on the `DIMENSIONS_API_KEY` environment variable. Custom Dimensions deployments also require `DIMENSIONS_BASE_URL` to route requests away from default endpoints.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `DIMENSIONS_API_KEY`, `DIMENSIONS_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
