## What it does

The server adapts technical content for 25 regional Spanish variants, such as Mexican and Argentinian. It includes 17 MCP tools. The tooling catches semantic drift while keeping markdown tables and code blocks intact. It also handles JSON locale file validation and merges.

Running the tool requires Node 20.0.0 or higher and pnpm 11.12.0. The 0.3.0 package is published as a GitHub release tarball instead of an npm registry package. Without a valid `LLM_API_URL` endpoint and an assigned `LLM_MODEL`, translation tools will not execute.

DialectOS checks formality levels between "tú" and "usted" across target regions. It supports gender-neutral options like "elles" and words ending in "-x". Quality checks rely on a public test suite of 205 adversarial samples covering regional nuances.
