# Devart MCP Server for Zoho Desk (ADO.NET)

## What it does

The server connects an AI client to Zoho Desk data and turns a natural-language request into a structured query. It runs that query through Devart connectivity drivers and returns structured results. Read and write operations are supported.

Manual builds require the `.NET 8 SDK`. The ADO.NET project restores Devart dotConnect for Zoho Desk from NuGet, while the ODBC option uses Devart ODBC Driver for Zoho Desk, which must be installed separately. Connection details go into `mcpserver.json`, including a connection string or DSN and either `stdio` or `http` transport.

For ODBC, the target platform must match the data source bitness. With `http`, you start the server yourself; with `stdio`, the AI client starts it.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `DEVART_MCP_ZOHODESK_CONNECTION` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
