Lets an AI client read and write Salesforce Marketing Cloud data through a local server that turns plain-language requests into queries.

## What it does

The server runs in your own environment and connects the chat to a Salesforce Marketing Cloud database with Devart drivers. An AI client sends a prompt, the server rewrites it as a structured query, runs it and hands back clean rows. Exporting files or writing one-off scripts for every question becomes unnecessary.

You can build it two ways: ADO.NET or ODBC. The ADO.NET project needs the .NET 8 SDK, and its dotConnect package comes down through NuGet during the build. The ODBC route requires the Devart ODBC Driver for Salesforce Marketing Cloud installed by hand, and the build target has to match the bitness of your data source. Mismatch that and the connection will not open.

Place `mcpserver.json` next to the compiled executable and describe the connection there: a name plus either a connection string or a DSN, and a transport of `stdio` or `http`. With `stdio` your client starts the process itself. With `http` you launch it yourself and set `HttpPort`. An ADO.NET string carries the URL, user, password and license key.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `DEVART_MCP_SALESFORCEMC_CONNECTION` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- pull Marketing Cloud records with a plain-language prompt
- get an analysis extract without manual table exports
- check campaign data straight from the agent chat
- turn a business question into a query against the ExactTarget database
- hook an AI client to your marketing database over ADO.NET or ODBC

## Example prompts
- List every subscriber record added last month
- Count contacts whose email field is empty
- Show sent emails grouped by campaign name
