## What it does

DeepADB runs as a local MCP server and talks to the phone over ADB on USB by default. Start it on the device itself, inside Termux, and it detects that and switches to running commands through `sh`/`su` — no ADB daemon, no cable.

The surface comes from 49 modules, which add up to 209 tools plus a few resources and prompts. Transient failures get retried, timeouts are handled, and with several phones plugged in the server routes by serial. Tools that depend on a binary the host lacks say so instead of failing silently.

Building from source needs Node.js: `npm ci`, then `npm run build`. Point your MCP client at `build/index.js`. Exposing HTTP, WebSocket or GraphQL past loopback is where `SECURITY.md` matters.

Standard mode was tested against a Pixel 6a on Android 16, with the suite passing on both the host and on-device setups.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

codex mcp add deepadb -- npx -y deepadb
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json

    "mcpServers": {
        "deepadb": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",

        }
    }
}
```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add deepadb npx -y deepadb
```
## When to use it
- read the current screen and UI tree of an Android app
- pull `logcat` and `dumpsys` while debugging a crash
- verify the ADB toolchain and list attached devices
- capture an app's network traffic
- inspect baseband and firmware state
## Example prompts
- Run `adb_health_check`, then list `adb_devices`
- Grab `adb_screen_state` and `adb_ui_dump` from the connected phone
- Collect `adb_device_info` and `adb_logcat` for the app that crashed
