## What it does

This MCP server from DecisionRules exposes the business rules platform to your coding agent. You edit decision tables, assemble rule flows and check logic without leaving the editor. Handy when the rules live in DecisionRules and the surrounding code lives in your repo.

It is a remote HTTP server at `https://api.decisionrules.io/mcp`, so there is no local process to run. Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a JSON block in their config; the other clients need a single terminal command.

You still need a DecisionRules account and authorization — the connection alone gets you nothing. Beyond Claude, the server is listed for Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and Gemini CLI.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://api.decisionrules.io/mcp`

## When to use it
- spin up a decision table from a plain-language description
- edit a condition inside a rule flow without opening a browser
- run a test case through a rule and read the output
- move logic out of application code into DecisionRules
- check whether a platform rule still matches what the service does

## Example prompts
- Create a decision table in DecisionRules for order discount by amount and customer type
- List the rule flows in this project and find the one handling the limit check
- Run this case through the rule and tell me what comes out
