## What it does

CV Forge runs as a stdio MCP server and hands the agent tools for one job application. `parse_job_requirements` pulls skills, requirements, an email address and the hiring manager's name out of the posting. `generate_cv_data` builds the tailored CV text from your profile. `generate_cv` writes the file as PDF, HTML or Markdown, PDF unless you say otherwise.

Your profile goes in as a structured object: personal details, summary, experience with achievements, education, skills, projects. Because the shape is fixed, keep the profile in a file once and reuse it instead of retyping it for the agent at every attempt.

Install with `npm install -g cv-forge`, then register the server in your client's config. In Claude Desktop that's `claude_desktop_config.json` with `cv-forge` as the command. Environment variables such as `DEFAULT_OUTPUT_PATH` and `PDF_BASE_FONT_SIZE` control the output folder and typography. Skip `DEFAULT_OUTPUT_PATH` and every call has to pass a directory itself.
