## What it does

The server exposes five tools. `backlinks` looks up links to a domain, while `backlink_changes` compares snapshots. `gap_analysis` compares your domain with competitors; `gap_outreach_targets` returns candidates for research, and `releases` lists available snapshots. Outreach tools do not send messages or create contacts.

For local stdio, configure `npx` with `-y crawlgraph-mcp` and pass `CRAWLGRAPH_API_KEY` through the MCP environment. A valid API key is required to run tools. Quotas depend on account access: free accounts get 15 backlink calls and 0 gap jobs per UTC calendar month; accounts with current paid access get 1,000 calls and 50 jobs. Polling a gap job costs no gap jobs, but an accepted submission remains charged even if its response is lost.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `CRAWLGRAPH_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
