# Consilium Principis

Puts several advisors around your question, lets them argue, and hands you one next step. Their quotes get checked against the source texts.

## What it does

Consilium Principis plugs into your agent as an MCP server and a skill. You bring a decision you are stuck on, and it runs a session: each advisor reads the situation through a different lens and leans on its own texts. You end up with a synthesis and a single next action. When the question can be reduced to numbers, the board splits it into figures and runs a Monte Carlo.

The verification is the point. A line carrying a blue mark is matched by code against the corpus of the author it is credited to, word for word. Without such a line, the advisor will not pass it off as a quotation; it stays quiet instead. The advisors are AI versions built from public texts, not the thinkers themselves, and the project says so.

No separate API key is involved: it rides on the agent you already run, and that agent's model or provider may bill you on its own. Quote checking works without internet access. A fully offline setup calls for local models. Sessions land in `council/` on your machine and stay out of git.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- break a hard choice into several viewpoints
- get one next step instead of generic advice
- confirm a quotation really appears in the source
- work out which of two options pays off
- see where the advisors disagree and where they agree

## Example prompts
- Help me decide what to focus on — I'm juggling four directions at once.
- What would Marcus Aurelius say about this choice?
- Run the numbers: which is more worthwhile, option X or option Y?
