# Computer Use

An MCP server that gives your model desktop control through screenshots and keyboard actions. It automates local GUI tasks directly from your prompt.

## What it does

The server replicates the mechanics of Anthropic's computer use tool on your local machine. It connects to the desktop environment through `nut.js`. The model captures screen state and dispatches simulated inputs.

Accuracy drops at high screen resolutions. Lowering display settings to 720p or zooming in on target windows prevents misplaced clicks. For browsing, pairing this with the Rango extension replaces coordinate guessing with direct keyboard shortcuts.

Full mouse and keyboard access opens real security risks under prompt injections. Run this inside an isolated operating system profile to keep personal files safe.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
