## What it does

COLA Cloud exposes federal US alcohol registry records directly to coding assistants. The service runs remotely over streamable HTTP, so there is no local process to build or maintain. Connection requires pointing the client to the hosted endpoint and completing OAuth authentication or providing an API token.

Six read-only tools cover the workflow. Assistants can filter label approvals across beer, wine, and spirits, look up individual records by federal TTB identifier, inspect permit holders by state or name, and pull processing-time estimates. Each search returns up to 20 records per request, with date-less queries defaulting to the preceding 90 days.

Every request runs against an active COLA Cloud account and consumes list or detail quotas. The connector cannot modify database records, create watchlists, or run without an established account on `app.colacloud.us`.

## Requirements

claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.colacloud.us/mcp
```
### Codex
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add cola-cloud --url https://mcp.colacloud.us/mcp
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "cola-cloud": {
            "url": "https://mcp.colacloud.us/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```
### GitHub Copilot
**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "cola-cloud": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://mcp.colacloud.us/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http cola-cloud https://mcp.colacloud.us/mcp
```
## When to use it
- Search alcohol label approvals by brand, product category, or date
- Fetch label details and document references by federal TTB identifier
- Look up beverage permit holders across US states
- Check current TTB application processing timelines
## Example prompts
- Find recent whiskey label approvals and display the brand, approval date, and record link
- Search California wine approvals from last month and identify the permit holders
- Check current account usage and remaining quotas using `get_plan`
