## What it does

This tool gives your AI assistant direct access to athletic performance metrics. Coach Watts aggregates records from external platforms such as Strava, Garmin, Whoop, and Oura. The model can inspect fatigue balances, power curves, training stress scores, and daily sleep logs right inside your workspace.

The underlying engine relies on Nuxt 4, TypeScript, and Google Gemini models. You connect over HTTP using `https://coachwatts.com/mcp`. Because the remote endpoint relies on OAuth 2.0, you must complete authorization before retrieving personal metrics.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://coachwatts.com/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http coach-watts https://coachwatts.com/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add coach-watts --url https://coachwatts.com/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "coach-watts": {
            "url": "https://coachwatts.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "coach-watts": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://coachwatts.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http coach-watts https://coachwatts.com/mcp
```

## When to use it
- Inspect training stress balance using CTL, ATL, and TSB values
- Combine biometric data from Oura or Whoop with activity logs from Strava
- Adjust daily endurance sessions based on overnight heart rate variability
- Review nutritional intake from Yazio alongside recent power output

## Example prompts
- Check my recent rides on Strava and evaluate my current fatigue level
- Based on my Whoop recovery score and sleep stats, should I do intervals today?
- Summarize my nutritional balance from Yazio against yesterday's endurance run
