## What it does

The server sits on top of the ClipmivoAI API and exposes five operations to the agent: model discovery, balance check, cost quote, generation and download. Everything runs over stdio, so the client launches `clipmivo-mcp` on your machine.

You need a scoped key with `video:read`, `video:write` and `files:write` before anything works — read and generation calls fail without it. Put it in `CLIPMIVO_API_KEY` and point `CLIPMIVO_FILES_DIR` at a directory for media files. One key draws on the balance of the account it belongs to; if you build a customer-facing app, keep the key on your server, since keys under the same account are not isolated reseller subaccounts and share the account's funds and resources.

Pricing comes back in credits: show `credits_to_hold` as is, don't multiply it by 100. Credits are reserved before generation and settled against actual usage afterwards, with the unused part returned to the balance. Model options and prices move, so pull them from a live request instead of hardcoding a list.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `CLIPMIVO_API_KEY`, `CLIPMIVO_API_URL`, `CLIPMIVO_FILES_DIR` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- find out which video models are available right now and what they cost
- price a clip in credits before spending anything
- generate a video and save the file to disk
- check the remaining credit balance on the account
- re-query a task status when a wait times out

## Example prompts
- List the available video models and their credit prices
- Quote the request in `examples/request.json` and confirm the spend limit
- Generate from `quoted-request.json` and download the result to `result.mp4`
