## What it does

Clearparty resolves a company through GLEIF, then follows its chain of parent entities. It screens each company in that chain against OFAC, EU, UN, and UK sanctions records, and checks EU VAT numbers through VIES. The server exposes `check_counterparty`, `validate_vat`, and `screen_sanctions`; an accompanying skill guides the agent on when to run a check and how to use its result.

You need a Clearparty API key to connect. In Claude Code, add the server with `claude mcp add --transport http clearparty https://mcp.clearparty.dev/mcp`. Tool inputs and the key go to Clearparty’s server. For ambiguous entity matches or an AI summary, the company name and possible matches may also be sent to Anthropic. Clearparty provides lookups, not compliance decisions.
