# clearhouse

clearhouse searches a combined directory of MCP, A2A, and x402 services, then routes calls to them. Use it when an agent needs to discover a service or receive a signed call receipt.

## What it does

The server merges listings from several registries, removes duplicates, and gives agents tools to search the directory, inspect observed service activity, and check index statistics. It can also route MCP, A2A, and HTTP-x402 calls, returning a signed receipt. For paid calls, the agent signs locally with its own key; Clearhouse neither holds funds nor receives the private key.

An Ed25519 receipt links the intent, execution, settlement, and outcome. Listings are claims gathered from registries, though, and observed activity is not an audit or endorsement. In a random probe, about 43% of remote MCP listings failed to complete a handshake, so check whether the service you need responds. x402 routing is on Base: testnet is live, with mainnet described as forthcoming.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://mcp.clearhouse.sh/mcp`

claude mcp add --transport http clearhouse https://mcp.clearhouse.sh/mcp
```
### Codex
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add clearhouse --url https://mcp.clearhouse.sh/mcp
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http clearhouse https://mcp.clearhouse.sh/mcp
```

## When to use it
- search service listings across multiple registries
- inspect observed activity for a service
- route an MCP, A2A, or HTTP-x402 call through one server
- get a signed receipt for a routed call

## Example prompts
- Search the directory for MCP services that handle payments and compare the listings.
- Check the observed activity for service `<listing_id>` before calling it.
- Call service `<listing_id>` and return the result with its receipt.
