## What it does

Cisco Meraki MCP exposes Cisco Meraki Dashboard operations through an MCP server, including API-driven reads and changes. It also provides views across multiple organizations, so an agent can review shared outages, renewals, and account changes. A local mirror is included for MSP environments, along with the `cisco-meraki-cli` command-line tool.

The installer places `cisco-meraki-cli`, `cisco-meraki-mcp`, and `SKILL.md` in the user bin area. Claude Code and Codex discover the skill from that file. Authenticate according to the project instructions, then inspect the available commands with `cisco-meraki-cli --help` or verify the binary with `cisco-meraki-cli --version`. Supported MCP clients include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed.

Do not run HTTP mode with `--transport http`, including on localhost. This build checks a token but lacks request-size and execution-time limits, while its tools can change Meraki resources with your credentials. Keep the default stdio transport.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `MERAKI_DASHBOARD_API_KEY`, `CISCO_MERAKI_BASE_URL`, `CISCO_MERAKI_MCP_READ_ONLY`, `CISCO_MERAKI_USER_AGENT`, `CISCO_MERAKI_MCP_HTTP_TOKEN`, `PRINTING_PRESS_CLIENT_PROFILE` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
