## What it does

\`@churnkey/mcp` is the Model Context Protocol package inside the `churnkey/sdk` repo. Point Claude, Cursor or another agent at it and the agent can query your Churnkey sessions, analytics and DSR records. The endpoint is `https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp` over HTTP, so there is no local build step.

You need a Data API key. Without it the connection is there but the data calls fail. Grab the key from your Churnkey account; the same account hands out an `appId` if you want analytics.

The repo ships three packages: `@churnkey/react` for the cancel flow component on React 18 and 19, `@churnkey/node` for server-side token generation, and `@churnkey/mcp` for the server itself. MIT licensed.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp`

## Install

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http churnkey https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add churnkey --url https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "churnkey": {
            "url": "https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "churnkey": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http churnkey https://mcp.churnkey.co/mcp
```

## When to use it
- check cancel sessions without opening the dashboard
- pull retention numbers into a chat with the agent
- locate open DSR requests in Churnkey
- cross-check churn data while reviewing billing code

## Example prompts
- Show me the latest cancel sessions from Churnkey
- What were our retention metrics this week?
- Find open DSR requests in Churnkey
